The University of the Commonwealth Caribbean formerly known as the “University College of the Caribbean” is Jamaica’s largest non-affiliated, privately held University offering professional Certificate, Diploma, Associate, Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes along with customized training programmes. UCC was established in January 2004.

In June 2005 UCC they partnered with Florida International University (FIU), the University of Florida (UF). In May 2005, UCC obtained official recognition and registered centre status from the prestigious University of London to offer both the Diploma in Law (now the Certificate of Higher Education in Law) and Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) in partnership with that University.
