Visa

General Information
  • Effective 1 December 2005, all holders of Cayman Islands passports will require a visa to enter Jamaica
  • All applications must be made in person
  • Application forms can be obtained at the Jamaican consulate office or click here to download the form
  • Visa applications will normally be processed within 2 days, between Monday through Friday
  • Visas issued outside the regular processing time will incur an additional EXPRESS FEE of CI $100

Requirements:
  • Must apply in PERSON
  • A valid passport
  • The passport must have one (1) clear page on which to stamp the visa
  • One passport-size photo (taken within the last 6 months)
  • Police clearance for applicants 18 - 79 years old
  • Applicants with Jamaican spouse or parent can provide proof of documents (applicant's birth certificate or marriage certificate & spouse's ID)
  • Minors over 14 years old must apply in person accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
  • Minor's birth certificate and parent's ID or legal guardianship are required.
  • Cost: USD$102.40 Bank Draft, Payable to Jamaica Consulate drawn on a local bank processing time: Approximately 2 Working Days.

  • Visas issued outside the regular processing time will incur an additional EXPRESS FEE

Students are required to be in possession of the following documents in addition to requirements stated above:
  • Must apply in PERSON
  • A valid passport
  • Passport must have one (1) clear page to stamp the visa
  • One passport size photo (taken within the last 6 months)
  • Police clearance for applicants 18 - 79 years old
  • Return ticket valid for one (1) year;
  • Letter of acceptance from the school or institution which the student will be attending
  • Proof of adequate funds to cover expenses for one (1) year in the first instance.
  • All minors need to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian
  • Minor's birth certificate and parent's ID or legal guardianship is required.
Processing time:
  • Approximately 2 days (applications submitted on Friday will be ready on Monday)
  • Applications submitted with criminal conviction(s) on a Police Clearance will be referred, response within 10 working days
Cost:
  • Payment should be made in the form of a LOCAL BANK Draft for US $102.40 and made payable to the Jamaican Consulate

  • Must apply in PERSON
  • One passport size photo (taken within the last 6 months)
  • Passport with validity of no less than three (3) months and one clear page to stamp a visa
  • Minors over 14 yrs old must apply in person accompanied by parent or legal guardian.
  • Minor's birth certificate and parent's ID or legal guardianship is required.
  • Fee of CI$50 for a single entry visa
  • Fee of CI$100 for a multiple entry visa (restrictions may apply)
Processing time:
  • Approximately 2 days (applications submitted on Friday will be ready on Monday).
Applying for a Jamaican Visa
  • Please be advised that there is a Visa Waiver in force for Colombians, Panamanians, and Venezuelans with effect from March 14, 2013. The conditions surrounding the waiver remain in place for the thirty (30) day period for tourism, cultural exchanges, and business.
  • N.B. Please add to the list the following European countries that have also been exempted - Czech Republic, Russia, Ukraine, Slovak Republic, Poland, and Hungary. This waiver became effective on March 7, 2013
